2017 Report of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP)

The Report of the Committee for Development Policy (E/2017/33, Supplement No. 13) on its 19th plenary session held from 20-24 March 2017 is now available in all six official languages.

The report addresses the six themes discussed by the CDP during the session: (1) lessons learned from developing productive capacities from countries graduated and graduating from the least developed country category; (2) monitoring the development progress of countries that are graduating and have graduated from the list of the least developed countries; (3) a review of the criteria used in the identification of the least developed countries in preparation for the triennial review of the category in 2018; (4) a review of the recognition and use of the least developed country category by United Nations development system entities; (5) an update of the least developed country graduation platform for improving the understanding of and preparation for graduation from the least developed country category; and, (6) total official support for sustainable development.
