Building energy planning capacity in Costa Rica

In the process of supporting countries in their transition from MDG-based development strategies to broader sustainable development strategies through modelling-based policy analyses, DPAD trained government experts and policy analysts in the use of the Long-Range Energy Alternatives Planning (LEAP) system. The training was organized in San Jose, Costa Rica, on 26-30 October, at the premises of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Policy. The Minister of Planning, H.E. Olga Marta Sanchez (pictured above), provided concluding remarks and thanked UN-DESA for the capacity building.
