CDP Chair at ECOSOC Informal Briefing on the Outcome of COP26

On 14 December, Jose Antonio Ocampo, Chair of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), participated in the ECOSOC Informal Briefing on the outcomes of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). He emphasized that climate change above all is a matter of equity and despite some progress in Glasgow the World remains very far from achieving the 1.5-degree Celsius commitment. Scaled-up climate financing is needed for developing countries, in particular for LDCs but also non-LDC vulnerable countries.

The event can be watched at UN Web TV.
