CDP member participates in the UNGA side event ‘Data to end hunger’

On 24 September Committee for Development Policy (CDP) member Lindiwe Sibanda participates in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) side event ‘Data to end hunger’ as part of a group of storytellers from ‘The Moth Global Community Program’ who will share compelling accounts of how agricultural statistics impact lives.

The event is organized by the Governments of Kenya, Ghana, and Sierra Leone, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Fund for Agricultural Development, the World Bank, the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation to discuss how to achieve SDG 2 and grow enough food to feed the world. A multi-donor commitment to close the agricultural statistics data gap by scaling up agricultural data in 50 countries by 2030 will be launched at the event.
