ECOSOC appoints the new members of the CDP

The Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) approved the new members of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), nominated by the Secretary-General, for a three-year term beginning on 1 January 2019 and expiring on 31 December 2021.
The experts are nominated in their personal capacity and reflect a diverse range of expertise, geographical balance and gender balance.

The CDP, a subsidiary advisory body of ECOSOC, advises the Council on a wide range of emerging economic, social and environmental issues that are relevant for the design and implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda and for the strengthening of the international development co-operation.
