Briefing on the work of the CDP and Launch of the LDC Handbook

During this briefing the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) addressed developments in the work of the CDP since its last Plenary meeting in February 2021. After an introduction by H.E. Collen Vixen Kelapile, President of the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), CDP Chair, Prof. Jose Antonio Ocampo, CDP Vice-Chair, Prof. Sakiko Fukuda-Parr and CDP Subgroup Chair on LDCs, Mr. Taffere Tesfachew, presented updates to members of ECOSOC and Delegates on the Committee's work on (1) the ECOSOC themes for 2021 and 2022; (2) the CDP analysis of VNRs; and (3) LDC graduation and support. The briefing also included the launch of the fourth edition of the Handbook on the Least Developed Country Category.
