CDP Chair addressed ECOSOC Integration Segment

On 2 July, Jose Antonio Ocampo, Chair of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), addressed the ECOSOC Integration segment. Recovery from the crisis induced by COVID-19 should not, Prof. Ocampo said, be a return to pre-crisis development patterns but a reframing of the development paradigm towards equality, resilience and environmental sustainability. He stressed the importance of developing productive capacities to move towards structural transformation; of a new multilateralism that effectively responds to contemporary challenges; and of support to LDCs.
