Launch of the LDC Portal

On 11 May 2011 the Secretariat of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) co-organized with the Fondation pour les Etudes et Recherches sur le Développement International (FERDI) an event entitled: "Optimizing Support Measures for LDCs: Access, Utilization and Effectiveness" within the framework of the 4th Conference of United Nations on LDCs. During the event the CDP launched the Least Developed Countries Information Portal dedicated to enhancing LDCs’ access to information and utilization of the existing LDC-specific international support measures provided by development and trading partners.

The portal also offers interactive online networking and forums to share experience and discuss questions related to the use of support measures, case-studies about specific aspects of the support measures, online training modules to increase knowledge and understanding and more.
