Introduction of the 2007 CDP report at the High-level Segment of ECOSOC

On 23 July 2008, CDP member Hans Opschoor, on behalf of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), introduced the Committee's findings of the CDPs report on its 9th session at the High-Level Segment of the 2007 ECOSOC session.

The 2007 High-level segment of ECOSOC was held from 23 to 26 July 2007, at the the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland and addressed the Council’s overall annual theme “Strengthening efforts to eradicate poverty and hunger, including through the global partnership for development”. It brought together high-level representatives of UN Member States, civil society actors, including non-governmental organizations, academia and the private sector, and the UN system.
