Introduction of the 2016 CDP report at the High-level Segment of ECOSOC

On 19 July 2016 Professor Jose Antonia Ocampo, Chair of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), introduced the Committee's findings on "Expanding productive capacity of least developed countries (LDCs) for achieving the sustainable development goals" as part of the CDPs report on its 18th session at the High-Level Segment of the 2016 ECOSOC session.

The 2016 High-level segment of ECOSOC was held from 18 to 22 July 2016, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and addressed the Council’s overall annual theme “Implementing the post-2015 development agenda: moving from commitments to results”. It brought together high-level representatives of UN Member States, civil society actors, including non-governmental organizations, academia and the private sector, and the UN system.
